What is My Exercise (M.E.) ?

My Exercise is an umbrella term for Arthritis ACT’s suit of classes that offer you the opportunity to take control of your health and well-being. Our exercise classes are carefully designed to help you achieve your individual health goals. Our team of Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists are here to support YOU!! 

Who can join M.E. classes?

Classes are open to all members of Arthritis ACT. Those wishing to attend will need to have an assessment with a member of our exercise team before being able to book into classes.

What classes are offered as part of the M.E. program group?

M.E. Shoulder/Upper Body Exercise Class

An exercise class for people experiencing shoulder/arm pain, tendinopathies, rotator cuff issues, limited range of motion, over use and strain injuries of the upper limb. Exercise will focus on strengthening muscles for joint stability and pain management to maintain functional capacity.     

M.E. Back Pain Class

An exercise class for people with lower back pain, disc injury/degeneration and thoracic/lumbar instability. Exercises will focus on strengthening muscles to stabilize the spine, improve posture and decrease pain.

M.E. Lower Limb Class

An exercise class for people with hip/knee pain, including pre/post-surgery. Exercises focus on improving the strength, balance and stability of the lower limb.

 

When are classes offered?

M.E. classes are offered on week days. Please contact our office for details on locations, times and class availability.
