Your Dietitian – Erica Roughton

O

I graduated from the University Of Canberra Bachelor Of Human Nutrition in 2005 and spent some time working in the area of weight loss, before spreading my wings to travel around the world.  I came back to Canberra to complete a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Canberra (2010).  I worked as a Clinical Dietitian at the Canberra Hospital specialising in a number of areas including Aged Care, Cardiology, Oncology and Gastrointestinal.  I was president of the Dietitians Association of Australia ACT executive before going on maternity leave to have my first child.  I have been involved in the development, revision and provision of a number of community based nutrition programs aimed at improving the health of both adults and children.

I am passionate about empowering clients to develop a healthy relationship with food and achieve their individual nutrition goals.  I achieve this through one on one counselling, client based goal setting, assisting with individual nutrition planning, provision of evidence based nutrition advice, motivation and ongoing client support.
