The library has books and resource materials of consumer based arthritis and self management related materials.

The Telephone Advisory Service is happy to recommend suitable books to members. Please ring the Telephone Advisory Service on 6288 4244 or Country Free Call on 1800 011 041 between 9.30am and 3.30pm weekdays.

The collection is made up of books, videos, journals and newsletters. Subjects covered include arthritis and related musculoskeletal conditions including:

  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • osteoporosis
  • lupus
  • scleroderma
  • sjogren's
  • fibromyalgia
  • pain management
  • exercise
  • self efficacy
  • surgery
  • recreation
  • alternative therapies

The library is open to the public between 9.00am and 4.00pm weekdays, excluding public holidays. Borrowing is available to members of the Arthritis Foundation or Arthritis ACT.

If you would like to borrow a book and are unable to collect it from the office in Holder, please email us at librarian@arthritisact.org.au or phone us on 62884244 and we will post the book to you. To defray costs, we will charge $5 postage per book, payable by cheque or credit card when the book is posted to you. If the actual cost of postage is less than $5, the difference will be held in a library fund and used to purchase new books for the library.
